Thai Wh ??

Usually the position of Thai question words fixed at the end of a sentence " Statement ( subject + verb + object ) ... + Question word?

but the question When?? เมื่อไหร่ mêua rài - does not have a fixed position in the question. It can occur at the beginning or at the end of a sentence.

Q : Statement + mêua rài? OR

Mêua rài +Statement?

A: Statement+ expression of time OR

expression of time +Statement?

Q: mêua-rài khun jà glàp bâan ?OR
Khun jà glàp bâan mêua-rài ?
( When will you come back home? )

A : chan jà glàp bâan prûng-née OR 
prûng-née chan jà glàp bâan 
( I will back home tomorrow.)

prûng-née พรุ่งนี้ = tomorrow
